Wow - That looks like a great space! You are going to have a ball! I just posted a cool DIY greenhouse out of found windows. Might be a doable project that will extend your season. My first reccomendation would be to get a book on lasagna / no till beds. Its' the least expensive way to start! And it's much much easier on your back!

Check out the DIY stuff here:
http://hyperlocavore.com/
Scroll down to the DIY! Section (way down)

Now remember - no diggy, no eaty.

Thank you so much for posting this list! I'm planning to do the 92 day juice feast and have been worried because I have Hashimoto's which causes my thyroid to swing from hypo to hyper. I'll try avoiding the items on your list.

NOTE from Allison : I was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's last month. I am now learning how to deal with that nutritionally. Good luck to you! If you learn anything, please share it!
First off,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Second, please feel encouraged that you are always doing the very best you can at that moment. Eating a 100% raw diet is not easy, I think some raw is better than no raw. Lately I've been mostly raw, mostly vegan but believe it when I say that there have been some seafood dinners and pizzas...after all I am in the land of pizza and its tough to stay raw surrounded by all this. I feel glad every time I eat a salad, drink a juice or make a shake (mostly green)
Any veggies and fruit are better than no veggies and fruit. Stay strong :) xo Dea

Hi Allison,

I'm so glad I found your site! After reading just a few posts I can tell it is one of the most sane and comprehensive raw food blogs. My husband and I have recently become convinced of the raw foods benefits and are doing a 30 day trial of 100% raw, we are starting Mon, Feb. 23rd. Our blog is www.rawfoodrealpeople.blogspot.com and is meant to be a resource for mainstream people just starting out who want to follow us along. We would love it if you linked to us and we will to you also!
Thanks and good luck with everything,
Kelly
